Prevention: Organizing workshops and gender sensitization programs for employees.
Annual Reports: Preparing and filing annual reports on the number of complaints received and disposed of.
Protection against Retaliation: Ensuring no employee faces adverse actions for filing a complaint.
False Complaints: If a complaint is found malicious, the ICC may recommend action against the complainant.
Procedure and Redressal
Complaint Filing: A written complaint offline/online must be submitted within 3 months of the incident (or last incident in a series).
Conciliation: Upon request, the ICC may facilitate conciliation, but no monetary settlement is allowed.
Inquiry Process
- If conciliation fails or is not requested, an inquiry starts.
- The inquiry must be completed within 90 days.
- Both parties must be heard, and witnesses/evidence recorded.
- All proceedings must be kept strictly confidential.
Reporting & Action
- The inquiry report must be submitted to the University authority within 10 days of completion.
- If guilty, the ICC recommends action (disciplinary action, counselling, compensation, etc.).
- University must act on recommendations within 60 days.
