A significant milestone in the history of Sardar Vallabhbhai Global University (SVGU) was commemorated with its first Convocation Ceremony on 14 December 2025.
The event signified a significant moment of pride as 340 postgraduate scholars from Management, Computer Applications, and Journalism & Communication received their degrees. Beyond a mere ceremonial event, the First Convocation commemorated the achievements, resilience, and ambitions of the University's inaugural graduating class.
The event convened esteemed scholars, educators, industry executives, public officials, dignitaries, faculty, parents, and families to commemorate this significant accomplishment. The Convocation Address was delivered by the esteemed Ambassador Sujan R. Chinoy, Director General of the Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defense Studies & Analyzes in New Delhi. His motivational speech urged graduates to welcome transformation, pursue continuous education, and engage with a dynamic world with inquisitiveness, fortitude, and assurance.
The esteemed President of SVGU, Shri Siddharth Patel, encouraged the graduates to advance with bravery and modesty, emphasizing that genuine success encompasses not just individual accomplishments but also the beneficial influence one imparts. Provost Prof. (Dr.) Subhash Brahmbhatt articulated the importance of the event, characterizing the Convocation as “the inception of a tradition and the cornerstone of a legacy.”
