The Hands-on Workshop on “AWS Cloud Infrastructure with Terraform” was conducted on 14th and 18th March 2026 at SVGU. It aimed to provide MCA Semester-2 students with practical knowledge of cloud infrastructure management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
The session was led by industry expert Madhavendra Kacha from TCS and coordinated by Prof. Ashutosh Trivedi. Participants were introduced to AWS Cloud services and their integration with Terraform. They learned Terraform fundamentals including syntax, providers, and resource management.
Hands-on exercises included:
Creating EC2 instances, S3 buckets, and VPCs
Deploying web applications
Provisioning servers and configuring load balancers
Managing infrastructure dependencies
Scaling resources and handling infrastructure changes efficiently
The workshop covered key Terraform commands such as init, plan, apply, and destroy. Best practices for Terraform state management and scalable infrastructure design were also discussed.
An interactive Q&A session addressed real-world cloud challenges and provided expert guidance. Overall, the workshop enhanced cloud computing and automation skills, preparing students for DevOps and cloud engineering roles.
